Our story began in 2015. We saw early on how much potential AI held and dove deep. By 2018, something took our action - we built a prototype to scan tens of thousands of reports and filings and to flag signs of accounting manipulation. That build fell short for a mix of technical and practical reasons, but it sharpened our conviction that AI would change the industry.
In 2022, the technology reached an inflection point. Powerful foundation models became broadly accessible, and we rebooted our efforts. While managing a portfolio at a hedge fund, we built internal agents that materially improved our research speed, coverage, and signal quality.
After two years of live use and measurable results, we left the investment industry to found AdvEngine in late 2024. AdvEngine builds AI agents specifically designed for investment professionals and individual investors alike.
